Keri lived at the BRIF centre with a private bedroom/living room and a newly built kitchen. There is also a training centre and guestrooms in the main office building. When training courses were being run, and if he didn't want to cook, the training centre provided Bangladeshi food at unbeatable prices.

There was running water from a well and electricity, the latter being subject to disruption due to load shedding which was usually for a maximum of an hour. Power cuts were worst during the hot season and infrequent during the cooler winter months when electricity is in less demand.
